PREVENTION: EFFECTIVE PRACTICES FOR YOUTH & FAMILIES
MAYSB members,
through their use of Evidence Based Practices including Brief
Strategic Family Therapy, Strengthening Families, Botvin Life
Skills, Second Step—Youth Development, Reconnecting Youth, and
other research based therapies such as Active Parenting, Child
Centered Play, Cognitive Behavioral, Filial Family, Motivational
Enhancement, Nurtured Heart, and Relationship Enhancement are
key to preventing youth from entering the juvenile justice
system.
